Railways allows m-Aadhar as identity proof for travel

The Ministry of Railways said on Wednesday it has decided to permit m-Aadhar, an electronic version of this Aadhar card, as proof of identity for travelers in almost any booked course.

The Aadhar card download is a cellular app launched from the exceptional Identification Authority of India about which an individual could download his/her Aadhaar card.

It can, however, be downloaded just on the cell number to that Aadhar card correction has already been connected.

To reveal Aadhar card print, a passenger must start the program and input his/her password.

M-Aadhar, when exhibited from the passenger on his phone after entering the password, ought to be considered an evidence of identity for job journey in any booked class over Indian Railways,” the ministry said in a statement.

On Wednesday, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that he was convinced Aadhar card status will endure the test of constitutionality since the Supreme Court’s decision on the legislation remains pending.
