Do Not deny welfare benefits to People without Aadhaar: Centre

The Union Government has led all countries never to deny welfare benefits for people below the poverty line who don’t need an Aadhaar card status and People without Aadhaar.

The Ministry of Law and Justice, in addition to other ministries concerned, have written to each of state chief secretaries to make sure that poor people are not denied benefits of fundamental administration strategies and Aadhaar Card For Newborns, for example, food grains spread through the PDS, as per a cabinet ministry.

“However they also have been educated that efforts ought to be on to find that everybody needs to have an Aadhaar card number along with also the strategies should be connected to it. But, we can’t deny that the poor the advantages of the programs for these,” the ministry said.

“People that meet the criteria under the PDS could avail the advantages revealing their ration card along with Alternative identity verification,” it also said.

The directive is available in the aftermath of the passing of an 11-year-old Jharkhand girl of violence that is alleged after being refused ration through PDS.
